Compact and ergonomic, it enables the safe handling of radioisotopes commonly used in Nuclear Medicine scintigraphy, such as ^99mTc, ²⁰¹Tl, ¹¹¹In, and ¹²³I, while providing maximum radiation protection for more highly irradiating radioisotopes like ¹⁸F, ¹³¹I, and others.

The Medi 9000 COMBO 4R hot cell is designed with two separate workstations, each featuring a spacious workspace and divided by a central 50 mm lead-shielded partition. The left compartment is equipped with a 50 mm lead shield, providing robust protection for high-energy PET and therapeutic preparations. Meanwhile, the right compartment, with its 15 mm lead shield, is tailored for low and medium energy SPECT preparations. This set-up ensures optimal operator safety during critical tasks such as elution, radiolabelling, fractionation and measurement, while preparing patient doses of radiopharmaceuticals.

This hot cell is designed to accommodate all synthesis modules and shielded pot models, as well as one ⁶⁸Ge/⁶⁸Ga and two ⁹⁹Mo/^99mTc generators regardless of model or manufacturer.

With its controlled Class A (ISO 5) laminar airflow across the entire work surface, it provides a safe environment for radiolabelling while ensuring compliance with good preparation practices and manufacturing practices.

The Medi 9000 Combo 4R hot cell offers:

• 2 works surface that offers both convenience and radiation protection thanks to the larges leads glass viewing window made from scratchresistant and chemical-resistant laminated Diamond Glass (160 mm thick), and accommodating equipment needed for radiolabelling, such as stirrers and dry baths.
• 50 mm lead-shielded generator compartment, lockable for added security and includes a sliding drawer, can accommodate any model or brand of germanium generator.
• 50 mm lead-shielded generator compartment features two independent lifts that are compatible with all commercially available 99Mo/99mTc generators, allowing for the simultaneous use of two generators for daily elution operations.
• 2 lead-shielded dose calibrator compartment (50 and 15 mm shielding) can accommodate any preferred measuring device, providing greater flexibility.
• 2 waste bin compartment (50 and 15 mm shielding) accessible beneath the work surface and lockable with a key. They facilitate contaminated waste sorting, because they include a container and bin removal from the front.
• Lateral airlock chamber is shielded with 30 mm of lead and features both front and side openings, with safety interlocks (Class C).
• Several power outlets, along with USB and RJ45 ports, are available for installing and programming the necessary accessories.

Medi 9000 COMBO 4R hot cell respects the regulatory framework european directives 2006/42/CE 2004/108/CE, 96/29 EURATOM, Good Preparation Practices (GPP & GMP) in accordance with French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR) decisions, with Class A (GMP criteria), class C (GMP criteria) or class b as an option and standard ISO 14644.
