Posisafe® KL-30 Type A / Type B container

The Posisafe® KL-30 shielded transport and storage container from Lemer Pax confines radioactive sources during transfer and storage operations, protecting operators and the environment from contamination and exposure to radiation from the radioelements handled. This shielded container is approved as Type A package with package (UN 2915 and UN 2908) for radioactive materials other than special forms, non-fissile or fissile excepted, regardless of the mode of transport: road, air, sea and rail.

Radiation protection is improved with the two package models available, increasing the distance factor to the source during package handling operations. With 30 mm tungsten walls, the Posisafe® KL-30 ensures optimal attenuation of the source.

The integrity of the radioactive source is guaranteed. Our container features shock-absorbing supportive foam that can withstand potential impacts and temperatures from -40°C to +70°C.

Each model is fully compatible with our fractionating hot cells and our Posijet® preparation and injection unit, capable of receiving multi-dose vials of radiopharmaceuticals, making the Posisafe® KL-30 the best and most versatile multi-purpose container in Nuclear Medicine.

The magnetic handle

The magnetic handle makes locking and unlocking the lid of the Posisafe® KL-30 shielded container easier and safer than ever.

A stainless steel button on the upper part of the handle shaft locks the handle onto the shielded magnetic lid for effortless removal.

The shielded lid features two O-rings to ensure full containment of the source.

The magnetic handle offers users the best in ergonomics as well as in radiation protection.
