ALARA® SHIELD Mobile manual injection shield

Ergonomics and mobility serving users

Thanks to its optional foldable step, the shield adapts to all heights, ensuring uncompromised ergonomic use. Its large side handles and four 75 mm swivel castors, two of which are equipped with brakes, facilitate movement and stabilization in a static position.

Visual control and technical precision

The 32° inclined shielded viewing window (L 310 x H 230 mm, thickness 72 mm) made of high-density lead glass allows precise visual control during injections and other technical procedures. The innovative geometry of the shield’s feet ensures optimal proximity to the patient, even in confined spaces such as under beds or stretchers.

Safety and practicality of injections with the ALARA® Shield

ALARA® Shield integrates a 15 mm tungsten shielded barrel, equipped with a cap for total and secure dose containment during transport. Combined with Lemer Pax’s automatic fractionation systems (Mediflash, L-Block Automatique), it eliminates irradiating handling thanks to the shielded syringe loader (9 mm tungsten).

Injection is performed with a high-sensitivity manual plunger, minimizing the risk of extravasation while ensuring caregiver safety. The patient injection kit, designed for dilution, injection, and rinsing steps without manual intervention, ensures maximum radiation protection and safe handling.

Ease of maintenance and durability

The decontaminable coating (RAL 9010) simplifies daily disinfection and radioactive decontamination operations. The shielded barrel, removable thanks to its knurled screws and large handle, ensures thorough and rigorous maintenance.
