Team 4.70: a busy programme ahead of the Olympics

2014, a preparatory year for the Rio Olympics, got off to an excellent start for Pierre Leboucher and Nicolas Le Berre. The pair of Bretons won the 470 North American Championship in Miami, ahead of the world’s top competitors.

In February, the pair flew off to Japan, in order to carry out a considerable amount of work on their sails – an initiative that seems to have paid off. Following the Palma de Majorca Regatta (Spain), in early April 2014, our two champions made it into the group of those selected for the World Championships to take place in Santander, next September. And that will be an opportunity to qualify the boat for the Rio Games. In between times, ‘Team Lemer Pax’ will be participating in the European Championship in Athens, in July.
