DESCRIPTION

The Lemer Pax Alpha/Beta hot cells with 2 or 4 glove ports are shielded hot cells for handling alpha and beta emitting radioisotopes.

The hot cells ensure radioisotope containment during operations such as fractionation, radiolabelling, and measurement, while protecting the operator from contamination and whole-body exposure to ionising radiation, all while keeping the preparations protected in a Class A laminar airflow.

Biological protection is provided by 6 mm of lead shielding and 12 mm of lead plastic on all sides of the work area, except for the front panel, which is made of 10 mm Novashield Glass.

All radioisotopes commonly used in nuclear medicine therapy procedures (177Lu, 225Ac, 90Y, 212Pb, etc.) can be handled in the shielded hot cell.

The ergonomic design and highly resistant materials ensure safe, hygienic use and easy decontamination.

α / β hotcell includes:

  • The spacious work surface (L 750 x D 550 x H 600 mm) ensures an ergonomic and secure
working environment for operators and boasts all the essential equipment: optimised
storage shelves, LED lighting designed to eliminate any shadows, three electrical outlets,
and an RJ45 connection for additional equipment.
  • A dose calibrator compartment allows the installation of a measuring device, for
improved versatility. However, irradiation at the user’s hands and fingers is significantly
reduced thanks to the Posilift pneumatic dipper raising system, which is available with
    Lemer Pax dose calibrator models.
  • A waste bin compartment with direct access from the worktop is available.
