Racing for women: a weekend of solidarity against breast cancer
The prestigious Magny-Cours circuit located in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, in central France, which hosted the French Grand Prix for 17 years, was buzzing with excitement on the weekend of October 9-12, 2025, as it hosted a car race unlike any other.
Organized as part of Pink October, the event was not only about sports, but also aimed to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. For the two organizers, driver Marc Bonnet and Alexia Ortega, founder of the Ladies Who Rev Up association, this is a personal cause that must be tackled relentlessly and without delay.
Mission accomplished: media coverage exceeded the organizers’ expectations. On the starting grid, only female drivers took their places in the Ligier JS2R race car, entered in the endurance race to embody both a passion for the sport and the strength to fight disease.
Supported by Lemer Pax, these champions put on an impressive and masterful show combining speed, precision, and solidarity on this technical and versatile track.
The hard work of all the team paid off: a podium finish with second place in their category and eleventh overall!

Beyond the competition, the event carries a powerful message: Uniting the energy of motorsports with the cause of women’s health.
The funds raised (another great success) will be donated to several associations dedicated to research, patient support, and prevention, foremost among them the Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest, to finance work aimed at treating triple-negative breast cancer, and the multidisciplinary oncology center at the Centre Hospitalier Jacques Coeur in Bourges in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
This race demonstrated that collective commitment can make a difference, whether on the asphalt or in the face of disease. Between adrenaline and emotion, Magny-Cours was transformed, for a weekend, into a symbol of hope and solidarity with which Lemer Pax is proud to be associated.
