DESCRIPTION
This new range of colour coded unit dose pig offers an ergonomic and protective solution that is essential during the transfer and handling of SPECT exams radiopharmaceutical doses.
Designed to fit the most conventional syringes and safety syringes used for radiopharmaceutical handling procedures up to 10 cc (filled at 7 cc). It reduces exposure from gamma emitting radiopharmaceuticals used in a nuclear medicine department. Radiation protection is guaranteed with its 6.5 mm lead shielding. Safety and reliability are ensured by its polycarbonate interior/ exterior finish made to protect the syringe from any damage during delivery.
The leakage risk is also prevented by a replaceable radiation resistant EPDM rubber seal.
An easy twist to open or close reduces loading/unloading time gives greater confort. When inserted in dedicated support tool, the hexagonal shaped bottom allows to safely lock in rotation the body of the pig during the pening and closing operations.
The unit dose pigs are available in a wide and complete range of colours for easy isotopes identification and are customisable by in-mold engraved logo*.
Compatible with automatic washing equipment, its innovative waterproof design helps easy cleaning and quick decontamination. This range of ergonomic unit dose pigs meets the ALARA principle as well as the highest regulatory standards and is approved for sale on the US market.
