DESCRIPTION

The Medi 405 dose calibrator is a measuring device for the control of radioisotope activity for SPECT and PET applications. It is designed for the measurement of stock solution vials. As well as for the measurement of patient doses to be administered, packaged in syringes of multiple capacities.

Medi 405 dose calibrator provides unparalleled precision

Its measurement range from 1 MBq to 200 GBq (99mTc) and its energy range from 25 keV to 3 MeV allow a wide range of applications. It can be positioned on a benchtop or integrated into low, medium and high energy shielded hot cells. Its reliability is proven and recognised with its long-lasting resistant ionisation chamber. It features a large chamber to facilitate the insertion of all types of containers (vials and syringes) up to a diameter of 48 mm.

The integrated control software, accessible via a 24“ touch screen, ensures an ergonomic working environment for users.

The interface is easy to use and allows to perform:

  • regulatory quality controls
  • add and calibrate additional radioisotopes as required
  • measure radiopharmaceutical preparations and doses

Medi 405 dose calibrator is compatible with different radiopharmacy softwares (Softway Medical, Thélème and Nicesoft). In order to increase security and ensure the traceability of the measurements.

The ionisation chamber (3 mm lead), incorporates an electrometer which quickly and reliably digitises the measured activity value. Its 8 cm isosensitivity zone ensures stability of sample measurement depending on its conditioning

Its response time of only 2 seconds for 95 % of the result allows for significantly high measuring speed. A mouse and keyboard are provided to ease remote control of the dose calibrator, in addition to the touch screen. The large 24” touch screen displays two simultaneous applications in order to quickly navigate between the dose calibrator and the facility’s radiopharmacy software. The sample dipper can accommodate containers up to 48 mm in diameter.

Work safely

The software for the management of the dose calibrator integrates all the necessary features for secure daily activities. Two clear PVC protective liners are supplied with the dose calibrator to manage any accidental contamination. As an option, the sample dipper raising and lowering system can be integrated with the Medi 405 dose calibrator to automate the movement of the dipper with a foot control. As the result of reducing radiation to the user’s hands and fingers. A Smart Label 430 printer is compatible with the management software to print identification labels for radiopharmaceutical solutions on vials and syringes.

Medi 405 dose calibrator is compliant with (UE) 2017/745, EN 60601-1:2006, EN 60601-1-2:2015, EN 60601-1-6:2010(+A1/2015), EN 62366:2015(+A1/2020) decrees. It’s also in accordance with the CEI 61948-4 et COFRAC ISO 17025 requirements.
